On April 1, the Lexington Herald-Leader posted the official positions of the various candidates for Governor on the issue of expanded gambling. For most of them, it’s “gaming,” kind of like Monopoly, or Risk, or Sorry. For the tens of thousands of Kentuckians who will lose millions so that a few of these candidates’ supporters can get even more wealthy than they already are, it’s a gamble, pure and simple. And it’s a gamble we can’t afford in Kentucky.
